Reaching For Energy Resilience

The energy department announced an 8 million dollar plan recently to improve grid resilience in areas that experience extreme weather. The set up involves the construction of microgrids that are designed to be able to operate autonomously from the main grid in case of gird failure to keep essential buildings, like hospitals or water treatment centers, running.
