LED lighting and wireless controls are gaining ground

Electrical engineers and contractors are getting comfortable with LED systems and wireless controls, though seek easier methods of installation.

A survey found that the average respondent was more than “somewhat satisfied” with the performance of LED lighting, but slightly less satisfied with the ease of commissioning lighting controls.

The majority of engineers prefer hardwired over wireless technology for LED lighting control, though show interest in wireless for areas where installing low-voltage communication wiring would be difficult or expensive.
