Green energy is now on par with coal and natural gas

Solar and wind power have been steadily decreasing in price, and technologies have become refined to the point where these green energy industries are able to produce power for the same price or less than coal and natural gas.

With subsidies, utility-scale solar power is down to 5.6 cents/kilowatt-hour, and wind is even lower at 1.4 cents, while natural gas and coal are at 6.1 and 6.6 respectively.
