Copenhagen leading with smart LED street light system

Copenhagen, Denmark has an ambitious goal – become the first carbon-neutral capital city in the world by 2025 – and they’re well on their way.

The city has implemented a number of new street lighting systems using LEDs that dim and brighten according to the movement of vehicles.

Data is collected by software connected to sensors embedded in the light fixtures that will soon be able to do far more than simply light the way.
