Did you know that the leading cause of residential fires, and the second leading cause of non-residential fires, is electrical failure or malfunction. Obviously as electricians we need to knowledgeable of the common causes of electrical fires- like short circuits in wires or cable and overloaded conductors, cable, or equipment. However inferior materials and poor connections are also common causes.
In other words, if we as electricians use good practices by committing to good quality materials and wise placement we can be the biggest preventers of future fires.
