Create your winter energy management plan

Winter is here! What is your winter energy management strategy? We can’t control the weather, but we can do a few things to prepare for the worst of it in order to save time and money in the long run.

Cold, long lasting winters mean higher prices for natural gas and electric power, not to mention the issues that can arise if a strong storm hits and kills your power-generating units. You can’t be too prepared.

Keep communication lines open to sites where weather-related problems are likely. Figure out your back-up plan in advance so you’re not as stressed when something happens, and test it to make sure it works (and that you have enough fuel to get by). There are also a couple revenue-generating options to consider that may give you an edge.

Don’t put it off to the last minute. A strong winter strategy is a must to survive harsh weather without trouble.
